Paul Jenkins
Chief Executive Officer
Paul graduated Dalhousie Pharmacy School in 2000. In 2003 he opened Friendly Pharmacy in Charlottetown. He opened a second location in Montague in 2006. He sold both pharmacies to Lawtons in 2010. He worked as Director of Medical and Long Term Care for Lawtons/Sobeys for Atlantic Canada from 2010 to 2021. Paul now works as a relief pharmacist on PEI.
Paul partnered with Kirk DeBoer on the purchase of Clinton View Lodge in 2008. Clinton View was sold to the Macleod group in 2015. In 2012 the Jenkins Group purchased The Mount from the Sisters of Saint Martha and began a 16 month renovation. The Mount reopened in 2014 as a 104 bed retirement/nursing bed facility. The Mount has a focus on intergenerational care. In 2017 The Mount opened a private school. The Mount Academy grew from 21 kids in 2017 to 153 today. In 2018 The Mount added 75000 square feet to accommodate the school and then added 20 physicians, physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage therapy and a 50 child daycare in the new addition. In the new addition a 20 bed dedicated safety neighbourhood. This expanded our nursing/retirement bed size to 124 beds.
In 2022, the Jenkins Group purchased 350 early years centre licenses and expanded these five sites to over 500 licenses. The daily programming of the early centres has evolved to include all the seniors at the Mount. The children are involved weekly basis with the Mount residents.
In 2022 the Mount began its newest expansion. The newest 70000 square foot expansion at the Mount will include the new medical collaborative care model, Study Abroad Canada and STEAM PEI.
In 2023 the Jenkins Group expanded into Saint John, NB. The group purchased two schools and are in the process of renovating them into 150 apartment units. The group also expanded into Nova Scotia with the purchase of the Berkeley group and Wolfville Nursing Home and Elms.
In 2025 the Jenkins Group partnered with Tyler and Alicia Macdonald on Wilmac Construction and The Regent Revivial Property.
